“Suzanne has been amazing! We sent our puppy to her for a 10 day training. She visited us at home first to see how the puppy interacted with us and specific things that were important to us for training. While she had our pup, she made videos so we could see how the training was going and so we could continue the same thing at home. After he came home, Suzanne did a few follow up visits as needed to be sure everything was going well! She went above and beyond and is truly passionate about helping families have the perfect dog for them.”

“We have used Mac Dog Trainer twice, for 2 different dogs. Each dog needed something different from the training process. Our 1st girl needed more confidence-building & bonding time (actually for both of us). I wasn’t as focused on her learning all the commands as I was just having the overall experiences, but she did AMAZING. Our 2nd needed to go back to doggy school. His first training wasn’t in a socialized environment, and that’s what he needed the most. His “stranger danger” anxiety has gone way down - in fact, on our walk this morning, her didn't bark at one person! Suzanne is great with all dog personalities and really focuses and teaches per dog. You’re in a group setting, but she sees what each dog needs help with and shows you tricks to help YOUR dog do well. Best dog trainer out there”

I feel like we got a one-on-one session because she took the time to work with each dog’s personality. Today I took Ahsoka to a very busy public place, and she did amazing. “I'm not quite sure where to even start, so bear with me. I am so eternally grateful that I was referred to Suzanne, and particularly the time that I was. I was referred to Suzanne by multiple people and reached out for her 2-week puppy bootcamp. I believe I got her last slot before she would be moving out of state, and all I can say is THANK GOODNESS. Boone is a completely different dog. He is calm. Listens. Doesn't bite. Doesn't jump. Crate trained. Potty trained. Stays. Comes. Walks loosely on a leash (miles!!). We even did stroller training for when our baby comes with mock baby sounds. He's social and affectionate. Everyone comments on what an amazingly well-trained dog he is. He has been to my office twice now to continue training for a therapy dog certification, and I do believe he WILL be a therapy dog. We owe it all to Suzanne. Beyond being an amazingly gifted dog trainer, Suzanne has a heart of gold. She works with you, your family members, and wants only to see success for you and your companion. “We have a 3-year-old Frenchie named Clarkson who was very dog reactive. We had been to numerous other trainers in Sherwood, Portland, and Carlton. We had been working with him since he was less than 6 months old and didn’t seem to be making much progress. We reached out to Suzanne, and the change we have seen in Clarkson over the past 2 months has been life-changing!! We cannot say enough about the amazing, practical approach that Suzanne takes. She truly gets to know your pup very well and builds great trust and rapport with them. In addition to Clarkson, we also have a pug who is one and a half years old. She recently went through level 1 Obedience with Suzanne, and it was fantastic as well.   • Gia and I finally completed our dog training classes with Suzanne which was derailed by Gia getting sick as well as my crazy work schedule. Suzanne understood all my excuses but definitely kept on us to ensure that Gia and I completed our training. She made our sessions fun and her mantra of setting up small successes and celebrating kept Gia and I engaged and motivated to keep up with training and practice. Suzanne truly can read dogs and she would point out cues that Gia does that I had failed to previously take note!   • We have an eight year old Cairn Terrier that would drag us down the street when we took him for a walk and would leap and bark at every dog approaching. After struggling with this for so long, Suzanne took us for a walk and trained our boy and US! He was absolutely beautiful on the walk, not pulling us or trying to attack other dogs. The next time we took him for a walk a few days later he was absolutely perfect again! I have learned so much about dogs from Suzanne and now I can finally enjoy going for a walk with my dog! And he is so much happier!

  • Suzanne has been a real godsend with our rescued French Mastiff. Our dog’s history left her with very little socialization skills and she had a proclivity to lunge at people, dogs, bikes and trucks. Within a few sessions with Suzanne and following her direction and advice our dog’s behavior was radically changed.   • We've been working with Suzanne, both individually and in her Utban Good Canine Citizen glass. Our 5-yr old Catahoula Leopard is smart and happy to please, but my husband has never had a dog and I've had, but never really ever trained, dogs. Suzanne is great with the dogs, to be sure! But I almost think her greater strength is with the dog's humans! She's been so supportive and friends comment at what a wonderful dog Blue has evolved into! (Even if he was already any amazing pup!)

She worked with my bulldog Maverick and although he was stubborn at times he was a relaxed and socialized dog because of her. I strongly suggest Suzanne Parker and remember a tired dog is a happy dog and dogs like to be in packs and have a pack leader...like Suzanne.
