Class 2

Coyote Avoidance Training,(similar to rattlesnake avoidance training).

We train your dog to recognize the sight, sound and smell of a coyote and to have a negative association, when they come in contact or have any interaction with any of those senses.

AVOID and ALERT This can be life saving. Instead of curious and unafraid, the dogs will be trained to understand that coyotes equal a negative consequence. Most dogs are unaware of what they smell like, look like and sound like when up close, they may not associate the coyote as a threat, until it is too late. In this training they will have the opportunity to learn Avoidance and Alerting is what we are seeking from them.

The coyote avoidance class will be held in March 2026. The first classes will be in held in Vista, and San Juan Capistrano. The cost of this training is $145 per dog. They will go through the course with you, so that you are also learning their ALERT, and you can positively reinforce the avoidance and alert. No live, captured, or injured coyotes are ever used in this training.
